incubus!
this is a screenplay that i wrote when i found out that studying for exams is not gonna get me marks.
THE MOVIE STARTS a young kid aged 6 in a picnic spot with his parents.theres a party of some kind going on. a teenage girl asks the boy to come over and look at her dog.its a boxer.when he goes near the dog, it bytes him on his left leg and he wakes up from a nightmare.his mother assures him that theres no dog and he was dreaming though he finds that his leg is still painfull.his mom also asks him to sleep as they are to go on a picnic the next day
the next morning,the boy finds out that the picnic place is exactly same as the one in his dream.the same gal comes over and takes him to the dog. to his amazement,the dog loves him and he loves it too. it becomes his favourite dog from then on, but pain in left leg continues
from here onwards, in the screen play every nightmarish dream is followed by a sweet experience of the same scenario. PUNISHMENT IS PRAISE. A SLAP IS A FLOWER. A BRATTY GAL IS THE SWEETEST EVER. RAPE IS SEX. DISMISSAL IS AN ELECTION WIN,COAINE ARREST IS A 5 STAR TREAT AND SO ON
BUT
THE PHYSICAL IMPACT OF EACH NIGHTMARE LIVES ON.
AS HE TRIES TO FIND OUT WHY, WE REACH THE CLIMAX, WHERE THERES NO DREAM SCENE. HE MURDERS HIS GIRLFRIEND AND FINDS HIMSELF IN ROTTEN PILE OF SHIT,IN POVERTY, IN A STATE OF DRUG ADDICTION.
THE MURDER AND ITS REALITIES WERE NOT A DREAM! THEY WERE NOT MERE INCUBI. THEY WERE THE REALITY. THE GOOD PART WHICH HE DREAMT OF-THE FRIENDLY DOG, THE SWEET GAL FRIEND, THE ELECTION WIN, THE TREAT,THE SEX WAS SIMPLY A PIGMENT OF HIS IMAGINATION-MERE DAY DREAMS. INCUBUS
